Monday 15th December Sallux and Jubilee Centre will host another Webinar, the last of this years series. Europe prides itself on protecting freedom of expression as a cornerstone of democratic life. Yet in reality, this freedom is increasingly uneven, contested, and at times weaponised. While institutions claim to safeguard pluralism, Christian speech, especially when it expresses moral absolutes or biblical truth, is often restricted, dismissed, or labelled as harmful. In this webinar, legal expert Christophe Foltzenlogel examines the evolving landscape of freedom of expression in Europe and asks a crucial question: Are we truly in favour of freedom of expression, or only of certain expressions? Drawing on Scripture, Christian tradition, and major European court cases, Christophe will explore: The biblical origins of expression Historical and contemporary pressures faced by those who proclaim inconvenient or countercultural truths. How modern legal systems protect some forms of speech while restricting Christian convictions. Why a culture of “inclusion” often excludes voices grounded in objective moral truth. What faithful Christian witness looks like in societies that increasingly treat Gospel proclamation as offensive or discriminatory. To prepare yourself for the webinar, please read the blogpost on Jubilee Centre's website. You are most welcome to join us 15th of December!
