European Christian policy institute | European platform | Publisher Sallux is a European political foundation which acts as the thinktank of the European Christian Political Party (ECPP). Sallux supports the ECPP, especially in terms of creating political content by European co-operation and the introduction of analysis, ideas and policy options. Sallux shares the basic program and Christian values of the ECPP. Next to this, as a European platform, we welcome likeminded think tanks and policy institutes as members. As a European platform, Sallux | ECPP Foundation actively supports and stimulates Christian research in Europe, both financially and ideolocally. Sallux Publishing is the brand name of our third function, being a publishing house. To summarize, Sallux | ECPP foundation is a publisher (Sallux Publishing), a European platform of Christian likeminded think tanks and the official political think tank of the ECPP. Each of these roles contributes to the promotion of Christian values throughout Europe. Threefold Christian mission Sallux wants to build bridges between opposites and to find common ground as we need a relational approach to societal issues. The name of our organisation derives from the combined Latin words for salt and light (Matthew 5: 13-16). Sallux wants to spark a salted debate where needed and shed light on the issues we face. Sallux presents solutions and will not stay on the safe side of the status quo. From this, follows the threefold mission of Sallux; equipping Christian European public with knowlegde and insights about societal issues from a Christian perspective, supporting the network function of our European platform and stimulating, by cooperative research projects with our associated think tanks, Christian research in Europe. Human dignity and relational thinking Human dignity and relational thinking from a Christian perspective are the philosophical pillars of our work. Both encompass the four European Christian political-philosophical traditions — the Reformed intellectual tradition, Catholic social thought, the Evangelical intellectual tradition, and Eastern Orthodox thought — in which the various thinktanks affiliated with Sallux are rooted. For more information about relational thinking, see our publication on Relational thinking and a biblical vision of society, a joint publication with our associate Jubilee Centre, which played a major role in the development of this line of thought. Human dignity from a Christian perspective is the starting point for the application of relational thinking in every dimension of life and society. In 2024, Sallux published a new publication on Christian perspectives on human dignity. Sallux will shed it's light specifically on the following streams: Christian Politics, Economy & Geopolitics, Future of the EU and Life & Ethics and thus distinguishes her articles, publications and events in different subjects.
