The Europe Day Symposium is to be organised by the committee Europe Day Utrecht and the Utrecht Platform for Philosophy of Life and Religion (UPLR) on the 9th of May. The theme will be 'Europe: 80 Years of Peace and Security. How relevant is the Schuman Declaration 75 years since its creation?' You are cordially invited to attend the symposium, which will be held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It starts at 17:00 and ends at 22:00, Dutch time. Be aware of the fact the main language will be Dutch. Our director, Johannes de Jong, is one of the five speakers on the evening programme. He will give an introduction to the concept of a consistent and independent European foreign policy. Other speakers elaborate on actual security issues for the European Union and abroad.
